You may not have ever even given it any thought because you see other people in your industry, people you admire, even your mentors, doing it all on their own. Then when things don’t work out as you had planned you look around and wonder: “What’s wrong with me?” “They’re doing it all on their own, why can’t I?” “Maybe I’m not cut out for this and I should just get a ‘day job’.”
But just when you’ve decided to throw in the towel you remember why you started your business in the first place. To help people. To make the world a better place, in the unique way that only you can, and you know that there is real value in that.

My Story
I’ve always wanted to help people, that’s why I ended up teaching yoga and somatics, and delving into pain science education for a few years. But I realized my true interest was a bit deeper than helping people move better. I wanted people to be able to do what they love, and along the way I realized that I had a whole other skill set that could be of use; my years of experience working for small businesses.
Chances are you didn't get into the "helping people" business because you enjoy the behind the scenes work. But that's the stuff I like- and I'm good at it too. No matter where I’ve worked, from a yoga studio to a video editing company, my role has been the same; build the systems that allow people to do what they love for a living.
